BUILT FROM
EXPERIENCE.
MADE TO DO BETTER.

KICK isn’t another mobile mechanic.
We’re here to raise the standards, not lower the price.

We bring specialist knowledge, professional equipment and a genuine passion for problem solving directly to your home, workplace or business. No gimmicks. Just proper car care.

WHY KICK EXISTS

BUILT ON
REAL EXPERIENCE.

After around 30 years across engineering and the motor trade, you get a good idea of what customers appreciate, and what frustrates them.

They want someone to listen, explain what’s happening and take a proper interest in their vehicle. They want honest advice, sensible recommendations and work they can have confidence in.

That’s what we’ve built KICK around.

We’ve taken that experience and invested in a mobile setup equipped to do more than turn up and read fault codes. Proper diagnostic equipment, specialist tools, ongoing training and the ability to work independently when we arrive.

Being mobile is how we deliver the service, it isn’t an excuse to lower the standard.

WHAT WE'VE BUILT

EXPERIENCE THAT MATTERS

Decades across engineering and the motor trade, with a practical approach to solving problems.

PROPER EQUIPMENT

Diagnostic and specialist tools backed by ongoing investment in software and training.

A SELF-SUFFICIENT SETUP

Our own power and compressed air on board, leaving you to get on with your day.

STRAIGHT FORWARD ADVICE

Clear explanations, honest recommendations and no pressure to spend money unless it's truly needed.

OUR APPROACH

WE ACTUALLY
WANT TO FIX IT.

We like finding out why something isn’t working.

The intermittent fault. The warning light that keeps coming back. The vehicle that’s already had several parts fitted without solving the problem. The motorhome with years of somebody else’s wiring behind the dashboard.

Those jobs need investigation, not another guess.

A fault code is a starting point. It doesn’t automatically tell you which part to order. We want to understand what has failed, why it has failed and what evidence supports the repair we recommend.

Some problems take longer than others. We’ll explain what we’ve found, what still needs checking and the next sensible step.

And when the honest answer is that a repair isn’t worth pursuing, we’ll say so.

WE DON'T RACE TO THE BOTTOM

You won’t find us bidding against five other people in a Facebook community group to see who can do your job for the least money.

Someone says £120. Someone else says £100. Then £80. Then comes the inevitable:

“£40 CASH MATE.”

There’s a difference between wanting to win a job and wanting to look after a customer.

We’re interested in your vehicle, the person relying on it and whether the work makes sense, not just getting another cash job in the diary.

Of course price matters. Nobody wants to pay more than they need to. But reducing the number until someone says yes isn’t how we decide what a job needs.

We work out what is involved and price it accordingly. We don’t start with the cheapest figure and work backwards.

We’re not trying to win every job. We’re trying to build relationships with people who value the way we work.

Winning your business should mean earning your trust, not typing the smallest number.

EXPENSIVE COMPARED WITH WHAT?

Before asking why we seem expensive, ask what makes the cheaper quote so cheap.

What equipment is included? What testing will actually be done? What parts and fluids are being used? Are you comparing the same job or just two prices?

Ask yourself what professional diagnostic equipment costs. Then ask what it costs every year to keep the software updated. Add specialist tools, technical information, training and a mobile setup with its own power and compressed air.

That investment doesn’t stop when we buy the equipment. Keeping it useful is an ongoing commitment. When you book diagnostic time with KICK, you’re not simply paying for someone to plug something in.

You’re paying for the investigation and the equipment and experience behind it.

You're paying for our time and everything that makes that time useful.

Diagnostic equipment

Professional tools for testing and investigation, not simply reading out fault codes.

Annual software updates

Ongoing subscriptions and updates to keep our diagnostic tools current.

Power and compressed air

A mobile setup equipped to work independently, rather than expecting you to provide a workshop.

Training and specialist tools

Continued investment in the knowledge and equipment the work requires.

MOBILE CONVENIENCE HAS A VALUE

HAVE YOU DRIVEN
AROUND POOLE LATELY?

Or tried getting from Poole to Christchurch?

When a journey takes an hour, that is still an hour of someone’s working day. Sitting in the driver’s seat doesn’t make the time free.

There’s diesel, the vehicle itself, insurance and a mobile workshop full of equipment travelling with us. While we’re getting to you, we’re not working on another customer’s vehicle.

But you don’t have to make that journey.

You don’t have to arrange a lift back from a garage, ask someone to follow you in another car or interrupt your working day to drop off and collect your vehicle.

Our pricing has to account for bringing the service to you, not just the minutes we spend standing beside the vehicle.

CHEAP ISN’T DIFFICULT TO FIND.

Good value is about more than the first price you’re given. Sometimes the saving disappears the moment something needs putting right.

The bargain oil

The price on the bottle isn't the specification your engine needs. Saving money is fine. Choosing oil because it's cheap, without checking it is suitable for the vehicle, is a different matter.

The £100 remap

A £100 remap sounds tempting. But if it leaves the car driving worse than before and you're paying someone else to put it right, what exactly have you saved?

That bargain eBay part

The issue isn't where it's sold, it's whether the part is suitable and its quality can be trusted. A saving feels rather less impressive if it fails halfway to the Lake District with the family in the car.

A lower price doesn’t automatically mean poor quality, and a higher price doesn’t guarantee good work. The point is to look beyond the number and understand what you’re buying.

“The real cost of a job isn’t always what you paid the first time.”

NO GIMMICKS.
JUST PROPER CAR CARE.

We’re building KICK into the kind of business we’d want looking after our own vehicles.

One that listens, arrives properly equipped, explains what it finds and takes pride in the work. One that keeps learning and knows when to say, “That needs more investigation,” rather than pretending.

We won’t promise that every problem can be solved on a driveway. If the job needs different facilities or expertise, we’ll tell you.

We won’t always be the cheapest quote. But we want you to understand what you’re paying for and feel confident about who you’ve trusted with your vehicle.

Tell us what’s happening with your vehicle. We’ll help you work out the next step.
